As Operations Manager of Drake Foodmarkets I was delighted to hear of the new ‘Stabilizer Strip’ when Display Decorations released it on to the marketplace in 2006, and was keen to trial this product. We first trialled ‘Stabilizer Strip’ in our Health and Beauty Section at Ascot Park Foodland. Both the Store Manager and the scanning department were delighted with this new and innovative product, so the entire store was fitted out. Not only could we see that it was going to save us time and money but the ‘easy to use’ style made the job effortless. Drake Foodmarkets currently own and operate 32 Foodland Supermarkets and 3 Newsagencies in South Australia, as well as 10 Supa IGA Stores in Queensland. For years we have spent many thousands of dollars on stabilizer clips, but, due to Display Decorations due diligence in recognizing this need in the marketplace, we no longer have to. We are aware that other styles of this stripping have since been released onto the marketplace, but ‘Stabilizer Strip’ remains Drake Foodmarkets preferred product. Its unique design enables our staff to insert and remove shelf talkers easily and efficiently. We have never had the need to trial the others, as ‘Stabilizer Strip’ was performing well in all of our stores. However late last year, Display Decorations shipment of ‘Stabilizer Strip’ was late and we had a store opening so we were forced to use the other style of product. We were disappointed in this other style, and continue to fit out our stores with ‘Stabilizer Strip’. ‘Stabilizer Strip’ has performed well over the years we have been using it. Obviously Display Decorations recognized a need in the marketplace for a more efficient method of displaying our many shelf talkers on our shelves. We have been using Stabilizer Strip in many of our stores for almost 2 years now and have been thrilled with the results. This stripping not only allows us to change our shelf talkers regularly with ease, but also saves us thousands of dollars every year by not having to purchase the clips previously required. The ‘Stabilizer Strip’ designed by Display Decorations is our preferred product for its ease of use, based on its unique design. It enables our staff to insert and remove the shelf talkers in an easy and swift manner, as opposed to other competitive products, which have the ‘teeth’, making it difficult to insert and remove the shelf talkers, often leaving remnants of paper in the ‘teeth’.
